Colombian navy  ship in Curaçao

ARC ‘24 de Julio’.

WILLEMSTAD--Colombian naval vessel ARC “24 de Julio” docked at the Mathey Wharf in the port of Willemstad on Monday morning. The arrival was officially welcomed by the Ambassador and Consul of Colombia to Curaçao Pablo Antonio Rebolledo Schloss and the ship’s commander Captain Diego Alberto Colón Torres.

The visit was dedicated to the celebration of 200 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Colombia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The ARC “24 de Julio” is considered one of the most representative ships of the Colombian Navy.

Following the official reception, the ship was opened to the public. Visitors could view it from August 3 to 5 between 9:00am and 6:00pm, which many did/.

With this visit, the Colombian Consulate aimed not only to underscore maritime cooperation but also to strengthen ties with the Colombian community on Curaçao.
