Club donates 20,000 euros to St. Martin and St. Barths

MARIGOT--Aside from his regular duties, Senator Guillaume Arnell was recently in Paris to receive a cheque of 20,000 euros for post-hurricane aid in St. Martin and St. Barths.

The donation, presented for distribution to Fondation de France, was an initiative of the racing stables L’Ecurie Bleu Outre Mer in partnership with State-controlled betting service Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU), France Galop and Corsair International. A horse racing fixture was organised to collect funds.
“Naturally I thanked most warmly Jack Vautrin, the manager of L’Ecurie Bleu Outre Mer for this initiative, Development Director Frédéric Théret from Fondation de France, as well as the representatives from Corsair International and PMU,” said Arnell.
“I also praised our two overseas jockeys who participated in the race; Guadeloupean Didier Gengoul and Luana Lalung from Martinique, the first overseas female jockey to participate in the Quinté race. I wish to also thank all the other professional jockeys who accepted to participate in this race meeting to help our cause.”
