COLE BAY--A suspect whom the Prosecutor’s Office only described as F. was arrested on Monday on suspicion of money-laundering.
The suspect owns a clothing store in Cole Bay, said the Prosecutor’s Office in a press release on Tuesday. Authorities searched the store and two houses under leadership of a St. Maarten judge of instruction.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation is a collaborative effort of the St. Maarten Police Force KPSM, the Curaçao Police Force KPC and the Kingdom Detective Cooperation Team RST.
