Celebrating dads

Carnaval de Saint-Martin 2019 Junior Queen D’yorlana Meyers recognised some great fathers within the community by giving them tokens of appreciation. “I can see that they are happy,” said D’yorlana as she started her morning by sharing the love on the Dutch side with two fathers at the police station. The youngest father – Mahabaly – and the oldest father – Bernard Roumou – received their packages with great smiles. D’yorlana continued her day by showing appreciation to the elderly fathers at the Bethany Home on the French side of the island. Everyone was quite enthusiastic during the presentation and thanked the queen for considering them. “Fathers, you are loved, respected and admired more than you’ll ever know. Continue to love your children and continue to play that role of leadership,” said Meyers on Sunday.
