PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) will host two separate meetings this week for registered bands, road march contenders and calypsonians.
The first meeting, for all bands registered for Band Clash 2019 and road march contenders, is at the SCDF office on Illidge Road above the Windward Islands Bank branch at 6:30pm Wednesday, January 9.
Bands that have no intention to participate in the Band Clash are also invited to this meeting.
The second meeting, for all registered Calypsonians who want to participate in the 2019 Calypso Competition, is on Thursday, January 10. This meeting will also be held at the SCDF office on Illidge Road.
SCDF usually hosts preparation meetings in January to set deadlines for music, etc., and share details of the specific events. The foundation said it looks forward to the attendance of all persons who registered for the events mentioned.
