Caribbean-China eco-civilization seminar starts here Thursday

PELICAN--The first Caribbean-China Island Ecological Civilization Seminar focused on Innovative Solution to Economy and Entrepreneurship (I SEE) will be held in Simpson Bay Resort on Thursday and Friday. The seminar will bring together some eighty attendees, of whom twenty are from China.

  The seminar, according to host Caribbean-China People Foundation (CCPF) and its partners, is aimed at gathering reflection from different perspectives to build consensus and explore innovative solutions to entrepreneurship and economy, which are crucial to ecologic civilization – a coordinated development between ecology and human society.

  Keynote speakers from St. Maarten, China, and Puerto Rico will delve into the topics of innovation, entrepreneurship and ecological development during the event.

  The event, which will zoom in on a resilient and sustainable network of education and training, trading and logistics, smart technologies and ecological industries within the Caribbean, is also a call for joint efforts of participants from the Caribbean and China to put insights together and think about the common future.

  CCPF’s partners and co-hosts of the seminar are Promotion Association of Global Youth Innovation Leaders Community PILC and Beijing International Exchange Association Sustainable Development Committee BJ-SDC.

  The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication is a supporter with sponsors University of St. Martin (USM) and CMEC Dutch Caribbean B.V., a St. Maarten-based Chinese company.
