Budget debate resumes today

PHILIPSBURG--Parliament resumes its plenary session on the draft 2019 budget in Parliament House at 11:00am today, Friday.

  The debate was suspended on May 14 after Finance Minister Perry Geerlings made a presentation and requested a temporary halt to the session to allow for advice from the Committee for Financial Supervision CFT.

  The Council of Ministers, headed by Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin, is expected to be present for the sitting.

  The parliamentary session is open to the public and will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115, SXM GOV radio 107.9FM, Pearl Radio 98.1FM,

www.sxmparliament.org ,

www.pearlfmradio.sx and Facebook.com/Parliament of Sint Maarten.
