Bringing Christmas cheer with hampers

District Governor Patrick Adizua and Mid-Isle Rotarians at the COME Centre earlier this week.

PHILIPSBURG--Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle delivered food hampers during the recent visit of District Governor Patrick Adizua, bringing smiles and Christmas cheer to those less fortunate in the community.

The baskets were given earlier this week to persons at the Anglican Church, Bishop Ellis Foundation and Social Services. The baskets contained various food items, toiletries, paper products and Christmas treats.

Food items were also distributed to the Community Outreach Mentorship and Empowerment (COME) Centre for its soup kitchen. Mid-Isle also donated items requested to help with food hampers for its seniors.

These hampers were made possible by people in the community who donated items when Mid-Isle held food drives at Cost Pro and Cost-U-Less, and by the Rotarians of Mid-Isle. Mid-Isle thanks all of the contributors who made these hampers possible.
