Boxing Day started on a sour note early Tuesday morning for the family of four who lived in a concrete home off Well Road, Cole Bay, that was gutted by a fire. The Fire Department said neighbours had alerted the Fire Department for assistance minutes after midnight.
On their arrival, persons from the area were trying to put out the fire by throwing buckets of water on the blaze, but the fire had already gutted the home. No injuries were reported after the blaze was put out an hour later and firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
