Bodies found on Coralita Beach confirmed as missing Antiguans

MARIGOT--Prosecutor Yves Paillard disclosed Thursday DNA-matching operations, part of the investigation into the causes of death, have confirmed that the bodies found stranded near Coralita Beach on November 13 and 14, 2018, are those of Pedro Jérôme Potter born on June 21, 1981, in Antigua and Ozandee Abmantie Benjamin, born on November 15, 1988, in Antigua.

Burial authorizations have been granted and the transportation of the bodies to Antigua is being arranged in conjunction with the Antigua authorities – Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Legal Affairs – to enable Antigua families to receive the remains of their loved ones for their funeral as soon as possible.

The initial autopsy results confirm the possibility of drowning.
