Bethany Home residents enjoy Christmas party

Miss St. Martin/Miss St. Barths Allison Georges spent time at the Christmas party for residents of Bethany Home on December 21.

MARIGOT--The residents of Bethany Home in Galisbay enjoyed a Christmas party with their families on Friday, December 21, organised by the home’s management, board of directors, and the Jamont Group which is in charge of the repairs to the building.

Bethany Home was not spared by Hurricane Irma and is still suffering the consequences, reflected in the changes to the residents’ daily life and their frame of mind.

In view of the difficulties they experienced without complaining, the management wanted the 2018 Christmas party to be a special time for relaxation and pleasure. Bethany Home’s Activities Director Nicole Richardson made sure all the residents were well-looked-after and had a good time.

The Christmas buffet was prepared by St. Martin Food and Beverages under the direction of Claudy Mussington. In addition, there was musical entertainment and a visit by the elegant Miss St. Martin/Miss St. Barths Allison Georges who just returned from the Miss France pageant where she represented the two islands. She brought joy to the residents who were given gifts carefully chosen and prepared by Yves Rocher.

The evening continued until late with the residents and their families enjoying the sounds of the steel pan.
