Arm for Lady Liberty

The Lady Liberty statue on the Agrément roundabout created by sculptor Théo Bonev is undergoing repair after Hurricane Irma damaged one of her arms. The work started on Friday, November 10, and is being overseen by the Human Development Department, the Culture Department and the Collectivité’s Technical Services. Electricity is being restored as well, so the statue can be lit up again in the evenings. The lantern in her left hand is a temporary fixture given by an anonymous donor and is due to be replaced with something more appropriate, the Collectivité indicated.
