Anguilla to have new terminal for trips from Princess Juliana

ANGUILLA--The Anguilla ferry jetty near St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport was totally destroyed in Hurricane Irma. It has been announced by the Anguilla Tourist Board that a new facility is soon to open that will be even nearer to the airport. It is in the location of the Pink Iguana.

Parliamentary Secretary Cardigan Connor, with responsibility for tourism, said that hopefully it will be operating within the next two weeks. This will give visitors to Anguilla the option of a ferry directly into Blowing Point. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) is to be signed soon between the Governments of Anguilla and St. Maarten to rent for one year. There is some work regarding refurbishing at the facility but the jetty is already in place and is a strong one that will be very convenient for the ferries.
