Anguilla police report fourth murder of 2015

ANGUILLA—The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) is reporting that a 57 year old man was shot and killed in Blowing Point at about 8.00 p.m. on Tuesday evening October 20. It is the fourth murder in Anguilla for the year.

  The police were called on Tuesday evening and received a report of shots being fired at the junction of the Blowing Point Road and the Spring Road. On arrival they found the lifeless body of a man on the ground. Forensic evidence suggested that a firearm was used to inflict the wounds which proved fatal.

  The name of the man has not been revealed until the next of kin are notified. The Police Commissioner and members of the Force are extending sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased.

  The police are also appealing to members of the public to assist in the investigation if they were in the vicinity on Tuesday evening and may have witnessed the shooting incident to report to the Police or send information to the police website. The Commissioner of Police said that there were some 100 people at the scene yesterday evening and is asking people to come forward with information.
