Anguilla Day to be  celebrated Friday

ANGUILLA--The 53rd Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution is to be held this year in the conference room of the Ministry of Finance and will be live streamed on Radio Anguilla for the public to view and hear. The theme this year is “History, Culture & Heritage, Know Your Identity, Anguilla Day 2020”. Instead of the usual parade at Webster Park there will be video footage of Anguilla and previous Anguilla Day events. There will be speeches by Governor Tim Foy, Premier Victor Banks and Leader of the Opposition, Palmavon Webster.

The honourees this year are Lenader Cassnee Bryan for his part in the Revolution; Wycliffe Richardson (posthumously) for Social Development; Rosena Brooks for Social Development and Ursil Webster-Brooks, also for Social Development. The awards will be presented by the premier assisted by Miss Anguilla Latonya Mussington.

Following the event will be the Senior Citizens Luncheon and this year it will be delivered to the Senior Citizens Homes.
