- EUSTATIUS--A referendum was held for the workers at Intertek Caleb Breit and Sheriff Security in St. Eustatius on Wednesday. The workers of both enterprises voted to have All for 1 union be their representatives in union and work-related issues.
The referenda were organized and supervised by Mediator for the Caribbean Netherlands Anselmo Pontilius. In both referendums, All for 1 union was chosen as the representative by 80 per cent of the voters.
A representative for All for 1 said the union welcomes their “comrades” of Intertek Caleb Breit and Sheriff Security in the union’s fold and hopes to soon start negotiations with the employers for a Collective Labour Agreement (CLA).
