59 inmates transported off island

Chief of Police Carl John is "very proud" of the successful transport of 59 inmates from the Pointe Blanche Prison to detention centres in Curaçao and the Netherlands. Twenty-eight inmates were relocated to Curacao and 31 to the Netherlands. He commended everyone involved in the operation and thanked the community for their cooperation and patience. The inmates have arrived safely in Curaçao and the Netherlands and have been placed in assigned correctional institutions where they will be staying. In photo: Officers planning the operation.
