Chief of Police Carl John is "very proud" of the successful transport of 59 inmates from the Pointe Blanche Prison to detention centres in Curaçao and the Netherlands. Twenty-eight inmates were relocated to Curacao and 31 to the Netherlands. He commended everyone involved in the operation and thanked the community for their cooperation and patience.
