Through Cam's Lens: Jesus and Judas

Through Cam's Lens: Jesus and Judas

“Make it make sense (Please)

Luckily, I was on point with the last girl, kept my receipts (Why?)

Warranty good, made sure I got a full refund when I gave her back to the streets (Go)”

Small rant. No beef.

Things have to make sense to me. Logic has to be taken into consideration. It just has too.

I am not vaccinated. It has nothing to do with being anti-vaccines, it’s just my personal choice. I also never take flu shots, or pills, or medicine in general. I also have no issue with anyone who wants to take the vaccine. By all means, if you did your research and you know that it’s best for you, take it!

But! What we’re not about to do is treat people who are vaccinated like they are some kind of gods amongst men. That is ridiculous.

I keep reading on social media how people are “pushing” everyone to get vaccinated because the number of cases keep going up. We’re in the midst of a spike, and apparently the vaccine is the only thing that can save us? Miss me with the nonsense. I know persons who currently have COVID, who are vaccinated. So how does getting vaccinated really stop the number of cases from rising? I’m just trying to understand.

Do you know that we could have 100% vaccination and STILL have 100 active cases of COVID? Like, let that sink in. The vaccine isn’t stopping anyone from getting COVID. It does not reduce your chances of getting The VID to zero.

So please. Can we take the vaccinated members of the community off the pedestal?

What I want to know is… What percentage of active cases are vaccinated? That would be a really good statistic to know, because we have persons out here, walking around like Jesus, no masks, no social distancing, just forgetting that COVID exists… Just because they’re vaccinated. Like, where is the logic?

My vaccinated friend, who HAS COVID, had to quarantine for two weeks. She had to quarantine until she was “no longer contagious”, according to CPS. So you’re telling me that someone who is vaccinated can both catch and possibly pass on the virus? So actually we are all still in the same boat? Just that some of us feel like it’s okay to take our masks off…

And okay, that’s cool. I get that. BUT… why do WE make vaccinated people feel like they can bypass all COVID protocols? Make it make sense. I have heard people with my own ears say that I don’t need a mask because I’m vaccinated. And encourage people around to take their masks off because they feel safe being vaccinated. Make it make sense.

I think our issue here on SXM is that people are relaxed. I see it when I work events and I’m the only one with a mask on. I see it on social media. I see it when I’m driving. WE are relaxed as a community. That’s why our numbers are spiking.

And this is my opinion.

It has nothing to do with who has the vaccine and who doesn’t.

We’ve removed logic from the equation.

BUT again, we need to stop treating vaccinated persons like Jesus and unvaccinated persons as Judas. I’m not with it…

That heck is unfair.

Y’all see what they trying to do in New York?
