Feeling Blue

Feeling Blue

DVNZO’s new project is out on September 1

He was gone for a minute, but he’s back in the studio and churning out new music. Local artist DVZNO (pronounced: Duhn-Zoh) first made waves a while back with his hot single “Rekless”. It soared to the top of the most requested and listened to music on local radio with a lot of airplays around the Netherlands.

A few weeks ago, DVNZO shared an emotional post on social media about being away from his music, but promised he’d be delivering something new soon. True to his word, he’s coming out with the Feeling Blue project, a small collection of songs in a different style than what the artist has come to be known for. With his signature locs gone, he’s sporting a new look for this new sound.FeelingBlue2

The project features beats created by DVNZO as well AS local producer XavvoKnockin, with a slower, softer sound. The visuals for his first single, Dear 1st, came out last week. Think: St. Martin’s answer to Brent Faiyaz. The tracklist includes songs like Rudeboy and Dushi.

The music is sombre and slower, with lyrics more attributed to the artist’s experience as a Gen Z male navigating his way around the dating scene. After a rousing summer, this project is something to sonically ease us into the calm of the autumn months. Will we vibe to it? Who knows, but it’s definitely worth a listen.

Feeling Blue will be available on all DVNZO’s platforms on September 1, and everyone waits with bated breath. Follow DVNZO on Instagram at @dvnzogram.
