Pay it with Plastic

~ Exchange your plastic for Corona beer ~

This coming Saturday, March 5, beer lovers can combine their love for liquid gold with their love for the planet. For every four plastic bottles, you will receive one free bottle of Corona beer – and some good karma.

Corona fans and recycling enthusiasts will meet at the Prime Club Store in Cole Bay between 10:00am and 4:00pm to exchange goods and vibes.

It does not matter what kind of plastic bottles you bring, so start collecting your empty water bottles, car oil bottles, cooking oil bottles, ketchup bottles, soda bottles, and shampoo bottles!

CC1 Beer Marketing Coordinator Chris Moore explained that CC1 organised the event as part of Corona’s global effort for environmental awareness and to keep plastic out of landfills and the ocean. Partner Meadowlands will collect all the plastic and recycle accordingly to avoid just that!

“We did it last year and it was very well received, so we plan to continue this year at least every two months,” Moore added. “We all need to practice recycling and teach our children to do so also.”
