Get ready for some serious fun!

Just one more week until one of the island’s most-anticipated annual events is finally upon us! From March 2 until March 5, the 43rd edition of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta will take place. Four days of world-class sailing races attract sail enthusiasts from all over the world, complemented by an exciting line-up of both local and international artists for some “Serious Fun” for sailors, locals, and tourists alike.

Every year, the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta brings well over 20,000 visitors to our shores, ranging from young professionals to businesspersons, from partygoers to international sailors, aging from 18 to 55-plus coming from over 37 different countries. “Our” regatta is the largest in the Caribbean and probably the largest warm water regatta in the world!

After each amazing day of sailing, everyone is welcome to enjoy local food and an ice-cold Heineken in the Regatta Village. The regatta is an event where business meets pleasure in the best possible way, in a very inspiring and energetic atmosphere.

This year, the regatta is back with “something for everyone” – music experiences ranging from reggae to electronic and French R&B. This year is not to be missed after two years of a minimized event due to the pandemic.

“The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is an experience unmatched, one that can only be found on the island of St. Maarten and historically known for its legendary parties and sailing. Both are complementary and co-exist to create that one-of-a-kind experience”, says Tanvi Goklani, Brand Activation Manager at The Heineken Company. “This year, we have started the process to grow the event, keeping in mind that the world is still working through some challenging global and economic times, but the energy the event will bring is definitely the same as prior to the pandemic.”

As usual, the festival will be based in Port de Plaisance, with prize ceremonies, local artists, food, drinks and local products. In the evenings, the party will move to the “green zones,” with various international artists performing at the island’s hottest party venues.

On Wednesday, the Warm-Up Party with Baby Cham and local DJs Outkast and Prince will take place at Lotus Nightclub. On Thursday, the party starts at the Regatta Village with DJ Siw’Roo and Sugar Apple Band, followed by Freddy Moreira and Wessel S at Soggy Dollar Bar. On Friday, DJ Prince, Kenyo Baly, DJ Em and What the Funk will get everyone on the dancefloor at the Village, before party animals head to Moonbar for Walshy Fire of Major Lazer and local DJs Classy D and Phil Conti.

Of course, the parties are taken up a notch during the weekend. On Saturday, music enthusiasts will flock up to Rainforest Adventures for an Exclusive Day Party at Elev8 with Sebastien Leger, Ajay Raw and Jayson Miro. In the evening, Malaika Maxwell, Royalty and the KRG Band, DJ Dope Girl, Cherianne and Control Band will get the party started at the village, followed by performances by ayc, Jahyanai and Tamillia and local DJs Big Boss and Maestro at Bikini Beach, a new French-side party location this Regatta!

On Sunday, the moment we have all been waiting for: headliner Koffee will perform at the Village, with Dadoni, DJ Outkast, Vere Musiq, Chanti, DJ Lil R, DJ Danejah Dane warming up the stage and hosted by Gee Money with appearances by the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta dancers.

“This year’s event continues to remind partygoers that life tastes better with an open mind, regardless of social standings or music preferences,” Tanvi Goklani points out. This beautiful program marks the return of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta and promises an event full of energy and good vibes.

For tickets, go to www.heinekenregatta.com/party/ or buy your tickets at any of the ticket locations: Divico, Vandorp (Madame Estate), Levi's Marigot or Adolphus Richardson. We hope to see you there for some serious fun!
