On Sunday, March 28, the Funtopia Youth Initiative (F.Y.I.) Foundation will host a nature hike along the Fleming’s property. Nature lovers are invited to join. There is a $5 contribution fee, which will go towards funding future social activities. All persons are requested to gather at 3:30pm at the Cole Bay roundabout (just before Marigot) – the starting point of the hike.
The hike will be led by Oliver Wilson. Persons are encouraged to wear proper footwear and have their backpack with drinking water. A pair of gloves will also be helpful. If you enjoy taking nature pictures, be sure to have your smartphones on hand, as the hike will lead into the golden hour when you can capture the beautiful sunset.
F.Y.I. Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to manage and/or operate an artistic sporting facility for the personal development of the youth and autistic children in general, and in that context to provide educational and fitness activities, including social development, swimming, literature and sports in general. The foundation has a calendar of social activities to stimulate fun and health opportunities in the community.
Our recently instated activities committee has been tasked to execute social activities and volunteer-based initiatives in the community. “In the coming months, the committee will be promoting more activities for the community to engage in. Next on the agenda is our 1st Get Fit Stay Fit Step-a-thon for all fitness enthusiasts. This event will be held on May 1, at the Emilio Wilson Park.
