Exchange used plastic for Corona beer - Saturday @ Prime

In an effort to create awareness about recycling, and to keep waste from ending up on our landfill and in the ocean, CC1 is organising another “Pay it with Plastic” event. This Saturday, beer-lovers and planet-lovers alike will flock to Prime’s parking lot, where they can exchange their used plastic bottles for Corona beers from 10:00am to 4:00pm!

The exchange is simple: Four plastic bottles equal one bottle of Corona. And CC1 will be accepting any kind of plastic bottle, from water bottles to oil-, shampoo-, dish liquid- and laundry detergent-bottles!

This will be the fourth edition of Pay it with Plastic. Each event has been more successful than the previous.

“During our last event, which was held on Oceans Day, we collected over 5,000 bottles and gave away approximately 55 cases of Corona,” says Beer Trade Marketing Coordinator Chris Moore. At the last event, several people received over ten cases of corona – and one guy even cleaned up the ring road!

As always, the plastic will be collected in a large recycling bin donated by Meadowlands, after which the plastic bottles will be recycled by said waste management company. So you can rest assured that both you and the planet will benefit from the exchange!
