Embark on a unique culinary journey @ Pineapple Pete’s Teppanyaki Tables

Embark on a culinary journey unlike any other at Pineapple Pete, where Asian fusion comes to life in a symphony of taste and spectacle. Loved by locals and visitors alike, Pineapple Pete/Wasabi Charlie has been the place to enjoy the art of hibachi/teppanyaki and sushi for the past decade, offering a truly unique dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite cuisine with captivating entertainment.

While most of us know and love the regular menu’s extensive offerings, such as the renowned lobster thermidor, excellent burgers, and juicy rib eye steak, Pineapple Pete also offers superb Asian flavours on its Wasabi Charlie and Teppanyaki/Hibachi menus.

The centrepiece here is the teppanyaki/hibachi grill, where skilled chefs work their magic right before your eyes. Gather around the grill and marvel as your chosen proteins – be it tender chicken, savoury shrimp, or melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon – are expertly grilled to perfection. The sizzle of the grill, the aroma of freshly cooked ingredients, and the theatrical flair of the chefs create a culinary experience that is as exciting as it is delicious.

But the feast doesn't stop there. Pineapple Pete, or Wasabi Charlie, also offers an extensive sushi menu, allowing guests to indulge in a tantalizing array of rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and maki. Be sure to try any (or all, we won’t judge) of the most popular rolls, such as the flavour-explosive Fire Salmon Roll, the creamy Simpson Bay Roll and the creative Berna’s Roll rolled in plantain. And for those who can't get enough, Pineapple Pete's gorgeous sushi platters are sure to impress your guests, making them the perfect addition to any gathering.

Of course, the Out N About could not resist embarking on this culinary adventure. Ours began with homemade Crab Rangoons: Crispy wonton wrappers filled with creamy crab surimi, green onions and cream cheese – the perfect start to a memorable meal.

From there, we journeyed to our next stop: Sushi!    The Fire Salmon Roll stood out with its harmonious blend of spicy tuna, creamy avocado, and salmon torched before our very eyes! We fully agreed we could order this again and again – and we sure will.

Then came the pièce de résistance: The hibachi/teppanyaki experience. Our chef for the evening was not only a master of the grill, but also a charming entertainer, delighting us with his witty banter and impressive knife skills. As he expertly cooked our meal, we couldn't help but be captivated by the culinary spectacle unfolding before us.

When it came time to taste the fruits of his labour, it was clear that hibachi/teppanyaki is not only about the fun experience, but also very much about the visual experience – and the magnificent and fresh flavours also play a special part. Each item was cooked to perfection, with tender meats, fresh seafood, and vibrant vegetables bursting with flavour. As one of our fellow diners put it: “Everything on my plate is delicious – everything.”

So gather your friends, reserve a table, and prepare to indulge in the ultimate Asian dining experience at Pineapple Pete. With its delicious food, lively atmosphere, and unparalleled hospitality – not to mention the new and improved arcade room and the extensive drinks menu that are the perfect additions to your culinary journey – it's no wonder diners keep coming back for more. Trust us! Once you've experienced Pineapple Pete, you'll be counting down the days until your next visit.
