Dinner and a Show

Sunset reintroduces the legendary Hot Chocolate Band

Known for its hilarious, interactive and musical shows, the Hot Chocolate Band was one of the island’s most popular entertainment groups. Their shows at the former Cheri’s Café were loved by tourists and locals alike and have been greatly missed ever since – until now. Sunset Bar and Grill has brought the legendary band back for an unforgettable dinner and a show!

The entertaining show kicks off every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 7:00pm. Diners enjoy character impersonations of Tina Turner and Michael Jackson; classic songs such as “Five Cent Ten Cent Dollar” and “Don’t Worry Be Happy”; and hilarious games and giveaways for the whole family.

Band members play many of their old and well-loved characters and wear the same funny costumes, but have of course added in some new characters since the closure of Cheri’s, so fans can expect some new things at the now-ocean-view venue.

According to Senior Manager Crisanda Richardson, Sunset took on the Hot Chocolate Band because they “wanted something different from the regular DJ’s and bands”. Since Cheri’s shut down, the island has not seen a similar dinner show that is more than the regular live music.

Dinner and a show is nothing without some fantastic food and delicious drinks. Sunset Bar & Grill will be running weekly food specials such as lobster, whole red snapper, short ribs and lamb chops on band days. And, of course, these will be paired with Sunset’s wide selection of cocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks – including weekly drink specials.

Sunset Bar & Grill is open daily from 7:30am to 11:00pm Friday through Monday, and 7:30am to 9:00pm Tuesday through Thursday. The Hot Chocolate Band performs Friday through Monday from 7:00pm. Reservations are recommended for the best seating for the show and large groups – contact +1 (721) 550-2468 to secure your spot!
