A whole new year: Through Cam's Lens

“A whole new world

A new fantastic point of view

No one to tell us no

Or where to go

Or say we're only dreaming”

A whole new year / A new fantastic point of view / No one to tell us no (Trump) / Or where to go. LOL / New Year, same me I guess.

It’s been pretty good so far, to be honest. December was really busy with work and I was looking forward to my schedule slowing down, but that hasn’t happened as yet. So much editing to do and things to send out and it just feels like I can’t find the time, but it will all be sorted out soon.

I guess I’m doing okay where my “resolution” is concerned. There’s only so much self-sabotaging you can do in a week…lol. What I do notice is that the busyness (wow, that’s how you spell that?) kind of prevents me from focusing on what I’m focusing on – might need to do some early tweaking.

I did, however, start a new vlog, podcast, series, video thing. It’s called “yuh mom”. First, because it is one of the expressions that I hold dearest to my heart (I’m such a mess, but a pretty fine one (eh heh)). (Parenthesis inside of parenthesis, followed by parenthesis. Who do I think I am?!)

Circling back.

MOM stands for “Moment of Maturity”. So it’s really “yuh moment of maturity” or in proper English “your moment of maturity”. The plan is to post a video every Monday for the entire year. 1/52 was posted this Monday and it was just the pilot; explaining basically what the idea is behind the project. It’s on my personal Facebook page if you want to check it out, (Cameron CamEra Hyman).

What I plan to do in the project as the year goes by is get a little more intimate about me – kind of like what I do here with you guys, but in video form. Sometimes, I read how vulnerable I get with the things I say in this article and I’m like bruh. You’re pouring your heart out to your 3.47 readers (jokes, millions).

For someone who’s absolutely antisocial, people surprisingly like me. I’ve created a platform where people tune in and listen to what I have to say. And it’s perfectly fine sometimes to just rant and be an idiot to lighten people’s mood and such. But it needs to also be a space where I can grow; where we can grow. So I really want to add “yuh mom” to the mix.

There are no set topics. It’s going to be whatever I’m feeling at the time. It can vary from my personal life, to photography, to spirituality, to current events. Whatever. But it’s going to be real and uncut and me. Just me. Raw me. Being vulnerable.

And who doh like it, that’s their problem. (Insert smiley face.)

And by the way.

Yuh mom.
