Action continued Saturday in the St Maarten Football Federation youth tournament. A total of 25 teams, 283 children are competing in games. Pelicans in the Under 9 division had another good showing. They defeated Oualichi 2-0 with goals by Mark Hibbert and Demario Nelson. Later in the day both would strike again and Nicholas Henderson added two more as Pelicans bested BV Football Club 4-0. Also in the U-9 group FC Soualiga played Belvedere to a 2-2 draw. Zidane Browne scored twice for Soualiga Verensio Esajas and Jahleel Flemining netted for Belvedere. Hotspurs clobbered United Superstars 5-1.
Kyan Magloire scored four and teammate Shawn Philander added one. Minette Adalio scored for Superstars. In the U-7 group Oualichi and United Superstars played to a scoreless draw while Pelicans versus hotspurs was stopped due to rain.
