Magna Duggins wins silver at Guadeloupe running event

 

MARIGOT—Avenir Sportif Club’s Magna Duggins won a silver medal at a cross country running event held in Lamentin, Guadeloupe, on Sunday, November 29.

Duggins turned in the best performance of the five athletes from the Club that participated in the event. She finished second in a field of 30 runners in the Minimes category, completing the 2K 500-metre distance in 9:44.

Anthony Seguin was not able to retain his championship title from last year, finishing fifth in the Cadet category of the 4K400-metres in 16:43.

In other results, Lisa Coquillas was sixth in the Cadettes for the 3K 100metres crossing the finish line in 15:17.

Aaliyah Aventurin raced in the Benjamin category, finishing the 1K 950-metre distance in 7:34. Melouane Perrichot (Minimes) was 14th in the 2K 500 in a time of 11:45.
