CAY HILL--Leshawn Brown took top honours in the Open Class of the 14th annual Diamonds International Youth Tennis Championship at the Raoul Sport Complex Tennis Pavilion.
Bradley Atyll finished second.
The competition, hosted by LAB Sports Academy, was divided into five divisions consisting of Beginners, Under 10, Under 13, Under 15 and Open Class.
A total of 24 young athletes competed in the annual event.
Joline Williams won the Girls’ Under 15 group. James Brooks topped the boy’s division.
The girls Under 13 was dominated by the Barry Sisters. Lisandra won the group and Leandra was second.
Triston Williams won the Boy’s Under 13 group and Clarence Vriesland was second.
Under 10:
Ejane Shillingford won the 10 and under division edging out Ejomar Shillinford. The Beginner drop was won by Keandra Barry. Leandro Barry was second.
Stephan Possemier from Diamonds International was on hand for the prize giving.
The Diamonds International was the last youth tennis tournament for the year. In 2016 the Lab Sport Academy will again organizing a tennis tournament every two months.
The first event for the year 2016 will be the Oyster Bay Youth Tennis Tournament set to start January 29.
