Baseball International School

Try outs for the new baseball academy, Baseball International School, are scheduled for December 10. Try outs for players age 10 to 12 will be held at the John Cooper Jose Lake Sr. Ballpark starting at 4:00pm.  Age group 13 to 14 will try out starting at 5:00pm and the 15 to 18 year olds will showcase their talent starting at 6:00pm.  BIS was founded on Aruba in 2008 by Tony Rombley, seen here on the St. Maarten Little League field. As Rombley has family ties to the Friendly Island he decided to open a BIS here.  Try outs will be in December and the school is expected to be up and running in the first quarter of 2016.  Rombley is a well-known baseball player and manager.  He started training players in the Netherlands in the European Baseball School in 1998.
