8th Annual Budget Marine Wahoo Tournament set for this weekend 

PHILIPSBURG-- Tahla'o from St. Barths is eager to defend their crown at the  8th edition of the Budget Marine Wahoo Tournament, which kicks off on Friday October 30 with the Captains’ briefing and registrations (6:00 until 8:00pm) followed by two days of fishing which will be hosted at Bobby’s Marina.
  Also champions of previous years such as fishing teams  Jus Enuff’ (SXM), Fast Forward  (Nevis), Challenge (SXM), Nathalie Kate (SXM) , Follow Me V ( French St. Martin), Bouffy ( French St. Martin) are all vying at the opportunity to recapture the Title to prove their first time around wasn’t a fluke.
     Trimmed Out from St. Barth’s still holds the record for largest wahoo ever caught during this competition, a 74.3-pounder caught in 2012, setting a new record formally held by ‘’My Baby Too’’ for several years.
  The single day weight record was set by fishing team Juss Enuff’ back in 2008  with a whopping 33 wahoo caught totaling 1033 lbs.
    Budget Marine Fishing Tournament organizers will be handing out more than $12,000 in cash and  prizes after two fierce days of fishing competition that concludes with the prize giving ceremony on Sunday afternoon at Bobby’s Marina waterfront.
  On Saturday and Sunday afternoon there will be both local DJ’s,  live musical performances, kids corners, local cuisine will be on sale and there will be the opportunity to buy fresh fish.
