Jets beaten by Ryan's Bills, squander playoff berth

NEW YORK-- Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills made sure the New York Jets would not make the playoffs without him.
  The Bills built an early lead and thwarted the Jets' comeback effort with three fourth-quarter interceptions to win 22-17 on Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

England bludgeon South Africa bowlers on day of records

CAPE TOWN-- Brutal batting from Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow broke a host of records as England declared on 629 for six before South Africa replied with 141 for two at the close of play on the second day of the second test at Newlands on Sunday.

Finn strikes as England close on victory

DURBAN-- England's Steven Finn took three wickets as South Africa, chasing an unlikely 416 for victory, struggled to 136 for four on the fourth day of the first test on Tuesday and were staring at the prospect of likely defeat.

Clinical England beat S. Africa by 241 runs

DURBAN-- Moeen Ali took three wickets on Wednesday as England made quick work of securing victory in the first test by bundling out South Africa for 174 before lunch and ensure a 241-run win on the last day at Kingsmead.

No goal power at King Power for Leicester, Manchester City

LEICESTER, England-- Leicester City again showed they could mix it with the big guns, going level on points with Premier League leaders Arsenal after drawing 0-0 with title rivals Manchester City on Tuesday.
