SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic--The decision of the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic to suspend the operations of PAWA Dominicana are far from supporting the development of commercial aviation in the country and it harms the growth of the industry and affects thousands of its passengers to whom the airline wants to provide the best possible service.
PAWA Dominicana has always recognised its obligations with all the authorities and to be able to fulfil them the airline must be able to continue flying. This is why the airline asked the President of the Republic Danilo Medina Sánchez and the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Board to reconsider this decision and that they support the airline so that the country can enjoy a stable and efficient Dominican Republic flag airline.
In addition, the airline puts itself at the disposal of the authorities to give assistance to the thousands of Dominicanos who, as a result of this regrettable disposition, were without information in the middle of a long weekend, the result of a break for the commemoration of Juan Pablo Duarte.
The airline hopes that this provision will be reconsidered and that PAWA Dominicana can continue transporting thousands of Dominicanos with the quality that characterises them to be able to fulfil their obligations.
PAWA Dominicana will be reimbursing airline tickets to affected passengers in the coming weeks. ~ Curaçao Chronicle ~
