Dear Editor,
I recently read a letter to the editor of this newspaper from a narrow-minded brother, which brought a smile to my face.
Dear Editor,
I would like to see the different Community Councils play a more active role by advising the residents and helping the senior citizens protect their homes during the Hurricane season.
Dear Editor,
Please allow me some space in your newspaper to address the Government of North and South SXM.
Dear Editor,
Please allow me some space in your newspaper to address Mr. Clive Hodge.
Clive, this is to let you know that I am one of the many who love to read your articles in which you approach today's issues from a biblical perspective. Not everybody will like this nor agree with your point of view. Especially those who adhere to moral relativism and those who support political correctness.
Dear Editor,
“Tie a stone around your neck and jump off the pier. Seek help from a psychologist, jump out of an airplane.” St. Maarten Prime Minister Marcel Gumbs told his critics recently that they can better commit suicide. He also made suggestions on how this best could be done. In a society of 45,000 people, such a statement has a big impact. Especially since everyone really knows which people he is referring to. However, the St. Maarten people have had enough of the corruption and the crime and ask for help.
