Time to help Dominica is now

Dear Editor,

In the past we on St. Maarten/St. Martin have repeatedly gone to the extent in helping those in our region who became victims of natural catastrophes.

Excellent attitude

Dear Editor,

On Wednesday, August 26, right in between Danny and Erika, I found myself at the ER of the Sint Maarten Medical Center with my daughter. The family doctor had just diagnosed her with possible severe anemia and more testing was urgent. I went to the ER with a heavy heart, because of the multitude of reports of negative experiences at SMMC that have come to my ears over the years. My daughter has multiple disabilities and I felt so vulnerable to be at the mercy of impersonal, uncaring and incompetent medical personnel.

Community Councils have a role to play regarding hurricane season pre-planning

Dear Editor,

I would like to see the different Community Councils play a more active role by advising the residents and helping the senior citizens protect their homes during the Hurricane season.

Dear Editor,

I recently read a letter to the editor of this newspaper from a narrow-minded brother, which brought a smile to my face.

Thank God we live in a democratic country

Dear Editor,

Please allow me some space in your newspaper to address Mr. Clive Hodge.

Clive, this is to let you know that I am one of the many who love to read your articles in which you approach today's issues from a biblical perspective. Not everybody will like this nor agree with your point of view. Especially those who adhere to moral relativism and those who support political correctness.
