Victim drives himself to hospital after being cut

SIMPSON BAY--A man was arrested for cutting another man with a weapon during a fight at Rhythm N’ Booze on Saturday, June 22.

Police said in a press release that patrols had responded to a call regarding an argument at Rhythm N’ Booze. According to police, two men had been engaged in a heated argument for reasons that are still unknown to detectives, when one of the men pulled out a weapon and cut the other man.

Officers who responded to the incident apprehended and arrested the suspect and took him to the Philipsburg police station for further questioning.

The victim drove himself to St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) to be treated.

The investigation is still ongoing.
