Urgent plenary session on state of affairs at PJIA

PHILIPSBURG--Parliament will sit in an urgent plenary session today, Friday, to discuss the state of affairs at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA).

  The public meeting is set to take place in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg (across from the Courthouse) at 10:00am. Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin, under the portfolio of the Ministry of General Affairs, and Finance Minister Perry Geerlings are scheduled to be present.

  This meeting was requested by Members of Parliament (MPs) Rolando Brison and Frans Richardson of United St. Maarten Party (US Party) and MPs Egbert Doran, Christophe Emmanuel and William Marlin of National Alliance (NA).

  Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations. 

  This session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115, SXM GOV radio 107.9FM, Pearl Radio 98.1FM, and via the Internet on

www.sxmparliament.org,
