DUTCH QUARTER--Two persons were arrested on drug charges by the Multi-Disciplinary Police Team at a home located on Quillitor Drive in the district of Dutch Quarter on Wednesday at approximately 12.15pm.
Police spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said patrols, while driving through Dutch Quarter, had recognised a man who is known to purchase drugs in that area and had been suspicious of the person,
“This man was seen leaving a house located on Quillitor Drive and officers noticed he had something clutched in his hand. While apprehending the suspect, a transparent plastic bag containing a small amount of cocaine was found by the officers,” Henson explained.
The man was arrested on the spot for possession of illegal narcotics. The Emergency Dispatch was informed of the developing situation and several patrols were sent to assist in the investigation. The suspect house was searched and considerable amounts of cash, cocaine and cellular phones were found and confiscated by police for further investigation.
A woman who was found in the house also was arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.
