PHILIPSBURG--The police arrested three young men identified as A.M.S.P. (18), S.E.B. (25) and R.J.J.P. (22) on Thursday, July 25, on suspicion of stealing a vehicle earlier that day between 2:00 and 7:30am.
The suspects were seen driving the vehicle which at the time was carrying a different licence plate. The owner of the vehicle followed the thieves to St. Maarten Medical Center, where the suspects stopped. The owner then called the police.
The suspects were arrested on the spot and taken to the police headquarters in Philipsburg for further investigation, the police said in a statement on Tuesday.
