Three Gov’t. Depts. reopen, three remain closed today

PHILIPSBURG--Three of the six government departments that were closed Monday due to electrical issues, will reopen to the public today, while three will remain closed, the Ministry of General Affairs announced on Monday.  

  Reopening today are the public/customer services sections of the Finance Department; Records and Information Management DIV and Department of Economic Licenses.

  Acting Secretary-General of the Ministry Erno Labega said while the electrical problems were resolved, the Receivers Office, Department of Civil Registry and Public Service Centre in Simpson Bay continue to be affected by technical issues,”

  Labega said, “All efforts are being made to resolve the technical issues as quickly as possible so that these vital government departments can return to full operations.”

  Government apologised for the inconvenience caused by the closure.
