The second edition of "Welkom op Sint Maarten!

The Friendly Island" 2016-2017 was recently launched at St. Maarten House in The Hague.  Perry Geerlings, Director of the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten, and Kelly Busby, attaché responsible for Education, Youth Affairs and Cultural Affairs received the first copy.

 

"Welkom!" is a 250-page book for newcomers and travellers from the Netherlands who want to come to St. Maarten for a short or longer period, and who want to know practical information about the country. The book has been updated and revised with the help of readers, who gave new tips or wanted to read more information about certain practical topics.The front cover photo by Sonja van Grimbergen for the first edition has been replaced by a new one by Dyana Symonds, also a St. Maarten resident. The book with coupons from book sponsors will be available in local bookstores. The book was co-authored by Esther de Vries, Marlène van Asten and Ina Kruize. Kruize presented the book on behalf of the authors at St. Maarten House.
