Teacher’s strike

Teacher’s union SE-UNSA from Collège Mont des Accords staged a 24-hour strike Tuesday morning to denounce the increasing violence in- and outside the school.

The last incident, a fight between two students on March 17, where teachers had to intervene to break it up, is causing great concern among teachers who fear for their own safety and that of other students, particularly when weapons are used. A march was staged from 7:30am and a delegation submitted a list of six demands to the office of Recteur’s representative Michel Sanz. Meanwhile, the Police are present daily at the start and finish of classes to maintain order.
