National Institute of the Arts (NIA) and the Youth Orchestra will be hosting another special performance from 4:00 to 6:00pm today, day two of registration for the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.

Some 17 NIA students showed off their skill and adaptability yesterday in intense performances of different dance genres, including African, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop – choreographed by Kimberly Milan, Jonathan Van Arneman, Peggy Oulerich, and Eolia Ada Kellowan (better known as Tr. Beebee). “Standing on the Horizon” by Van Arneman also served as an introduction to the upcoming production “Atlantis Rebirth,” slated for March 27 and 28. Musical interludes by Connis Vanterpool led into a finale by more talented youngsters – the Youth Orchestra. The programme was preceded by Sweet Pan Entertainment (12:00 noon to 2:00pm) which will also play today at the same time.
