Stuco water distribution returns to normalcy

The water tank, whose liners were recently replaced.

ST. EUSTATIUS--Residents of St. Eustatius can now purchase water from St. Eustatius Utility Company (Stuco), after a period of not being able to do so. Stuco has announced that the water situation on the island has returned to normalcy and persons can once again purchase water.

Stuco Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Fred Cuvalay thanked the public for their patience during the water situation. Over the past few months Statia has been dealing with a myriad of issues concerning water including a drought, the replacement of tank liners at the water tank located on the bay as well as in Lodi, and leaks, which forced the island to go through a period of water rationing. Water rationing has ceased for now unless some other issue occurs.
