Statia’s The Quill National Park is seen partly covered in Sunday's rain showers.
EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius was doused with much needed rain on Sunday. This was a welcome relief from the drought that is gripping much of the Caribbean. The drought is the main cause of the island’s ongoing water rationing.
Residents, who are frustrated with water rationing, were elated with the opening up of the skies and the coming of rain that soaked the island for several hours. There was even thunder and at certain points the Quill was hidden in cloud cover.
