CAY HILL--St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) hosted its first Meet and Greet for urologist Dr. Diego Ramos, who is a new specialist at the institution. The event is part of a new approach by SMMC to formally introduce new specialists to various medical professionals in St. Maarten. Medical Professionals including general practitioners were invited to the social gathering to learn a bit more about the urology specialty and what they can expect for their patients and clients.
Ramos who started at SMMC on August 7, demonstrated his specialties within his field followed by an open panel discussion where persons were allowed to freely ask questions. Ramos was able to demonstrate via power point and videos his various specialty equipment and the innovative methods that he will use for his patients.
SMMC said in a press release on Tuesday that it will continue to host similar events as feedback from this event proved positive. “SMMC will continue to grow and maintain the specialties services to meet the basic health care needs of the community of St. Maarten and neighbouring islands,” the hospital said in the press release.
