This waterspout was photographed off shore of the French side from Blue Mall Residences by Norbert Finkel on Saturday morning. The dark black spout dissolved in about five minutes. A waterspout is a natural occurrence. It is a rotating column of water and spray formed by a whirlwind occurring over a body of water.
