The Seniors of the Ministry of Good News Baptist Church took a group of Senior Citizens on Boardwalk Boulevard for their first outdoor activity for the year. Seniors, some in wheelchairs, the eldest being 96 years old, enjoyed the stroll/roll from Walter Plantz Square to Bobby's Marina this week. After the stroll, seniors enjoyed a light snack and refreshment.
Several outdoor activities are planned by the group during the coming months. The purpose of the Seniors Ministry is to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens as well as offer programmes to benefit seniors mentally, physically and spiritually. The Ministry has a wheelchair-accessible bus that transports seniors to its Sunday morning worship service at Good News Baptist Church. Seniors who need transportation to the service can contact the Ministry at 1-721-581-1468.
