ScotiaBank gets robbed

PHILIPSBURG--Police are investigating another robbery at one of the banks in Philipsburg, namely Scotia Bank on Friday. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson in an invited comment said “just after 11:00am, police was informed that a man walked into Scotiabank, walked up to one of the tellers and handed the employee a note, indicating to give him all the money and not to make a sound because there were explosives planted in the bank.

“The teller complied with the request and handed over the cash and the man ran out of the bank,” Henson said.

No injuries were reported and police conducted several searches in the area but came up empty. They are now investigating the first bank robbery for 2016.
