The Freedom Fighters Ital Shack Ital Festival held in Emilio Wilson Historical and Cultural Park on Sunday drew an enthusiastic crowd. Vegans and vegetarians along with all-round foodies turned out to sample the many dishes prepared on the spot or in advance. A variety of drinks and other Ital/vegan products were available for sample or purchase. Roland “Ras Bushman” Joe, one of the organisers, was happy with the turnout, and the helping to raise the level of food consciousness and eating for health while safeguarding the earth, which are foundational points of the clean-food movement around the world. Ital food is in essence what is now widely known as vegan food. They are both the same plant-based diet.
